Company Milestones
1990
Founded by Bruce M. Holland in Boulder, CO, in 1990. Laid the foundation for pioneering wireless communication solutions, shaping the future of enterprise mobility.
1992
Launched our first 900MHz phone, marking a breakthrough in wireless communication. Set the stage for future innovations in enterprise mobility.
1995
Launched the PTB Series, enhancing wireless communication. Kirk introduced the first DECT system, revolutionizing digital cordless telephony.
1997
Launched the Link 6000 OAI Gateway, enabling seamless integration of wireless communication with enterprise systems.
1998
Introduced the first Wi-Fi phones, revolutionizing workplace mobility. Also launched the Link 3000 (900MHz) for enhanced wireless communication.
2003
Avaya and Nortel new partnerships. Launched 0820/8030 NetLink Series. Kirk launched first IP-DECT Systems
2005
Formed new partnerships with Alcatel and Siemens, expanding our reach in enterprise communication solutions.
2006
Spectralink Acquires Kirk Telecom. Kirk telecom was established in 1892 by Emil Moller in Horsens
2007
Polycom acquired Spectralink, strengthening its portfolio in enterprise mobility and wireless communication solutions.
2011
84 Series Launch. Partnership with Microsoft. We had the only native DECT S4B Integration
2012
Spectralink divested from Polycom, regaining independence to focus on innovation in enterprise mobility solutions.
2015
Launched refreshed DECT handsets. Launched PIVOT smartphone. First google certified smartphone for healthcare
2016
Formed a strategic partnership with Cisco, enhancing enterprise mobility and communication solutions.
2017
The 84 Series won the Unified Communications Product of the Year, recognizing its excellence in enterprise mobility and communication.
2018
Versity 95/96 Smartphone launched, winning two Mobile Star Awards for innovation in business and healthcare. Also received TMC Internet Telephony and Excellence Awards.
2019
Versity 95 wins two digital health awards. Certified Integration in the Mobile Digital Health Resource and Modern Healthcare in Motion in the Clinical Mobility Tools
2020
Launched AMIE, DECT VIP Server, and Versity 92, enhancing device management, DECT communication, and enterprise mobility solutions.
2021
Android Enterprise Silver partner status. S Series launch. Win two DECT Forum awards: Microsoft Teams Integration Winner of the category of “Usability and S Series is the category Winner of “Engineering Quality and Design”
2022
Enabled direct DECT integration with Microsoft Teams, streamlining communication for enterprise and frontline workers.
2023
Achieved Android Enterprise Silver partner status and launched the S Series. Won two DECT Forum Awards for Microsoft Teams integration and engineering quality.”
2024
Launched Versity 97 and partnered with 8×8. Became management-owned and won two DECT Forum Awards, including Endurance Award runner-up for IP-DECT 400 Server and a design commendation for the S37 S Series.”
