Yesterday we announced our partnership with Cisco as a member of their Solution Partner Program. But there’s a lot more behind this announcement I want to highlight. Cisco’s Solution Partner Program is an interoperability program and Spectralink has been a part of that for many years supporting Cisco call control and Wi-Fi solutions. Our new relationship is in Cisco’s SolutionsPlus program, which goes well beyond interoperability. As a SolutionsPlus partner, Cisco’s channel partners and sales teams have direct access to Spectralink’s 70-Series DECT product to sell integrated wireless handsets with Cisco UC solutions. Spectralink DECT handsets and infrastructure can now be quoted, sold, and fulfilled just like any other Cisco product.

This is a big win for Spectralink as it opens up new channels and customer opportunities for our DECT products. It’s important for Cisco and their partners as well because it gives them a high-quality, well-integrated DECT solution to complete their UC portfolio. DECT is still the dominant technology for delivering excellent voice quality over a dedicated wireless network, and the integration of Spectralink’s broad DECT portfolio with Cisco’s Unified Communications Manager gives customers the best mobile workplace communications experience.

Spectralink is one of just a handful of Cisco SolutionsPlus partners, and the only one providing wireless solutions. We’re proud to have this relationship and Cisco’s endorsement of our leadership in the DECT market. We welcome our new partners in the Cisco ecosystem to learn more about our DECT products through the web and to meet face-to-face at next week’s Cisco Live event in Berlin.
